A Second Breakfast? Obviously A Good Choice – As Long As It’s With Bigelow Tea!

Maybe you call it a second breakfast. Or a mid-morning snack. Or elevensies (well… maybe if you’re a Hobbit). Bigelow Tea calls it a must – because, let’s be honest, any breakfast means it’s the perfect time for tea. And no matter where you eat it – at work, at home, in the car, after a grueling workout, at school – tea is great with ANY (and all!) breakfast at any time of the day!

Apparently, a second breakfast is becoming trendier than people ever imagined. And, according to research, it may even help people lose weight. A study conducted by researchers at Yale and the University of Connecticut suggests that eating a smaller meal to jump-start your metabolism followed by a slightly larger meal an hour or two later can keep you full for longer and help prevent overeating throughout the rest of the day. Who knew?! And if you’re like 94% of Americans, you’re already snacking at least once a day, so why not make it a second breakfast?

Looking for a few ideas that are quick and easy, and, well, pretty darn delicious? Easy. You can never go wrong with a piece of avocado toast, or toast with nut butter and fruit (Elvis was a huge fan of peanut butter and banana). Another option that requires just a few minutes the night before is overnight oats. Grab a mason jar and throw some steel-cut oats, milk or yogurt, chopped fruits, nuts, seeds, spices or any other favorite ingredient, shake, shake, shake, and let it sit in the fridge overnight. And, heck, you can never go wrong with some Greek yogurt. Don’t forget a spoon! Another option is to meal prep on the weekend… like making a batch of these fabulous Caramel Apple Crunch Muffins – they’ll last you all week! You know what goes great with any and all of these ideas? A nice, tall mug of Bigelow Tea. Drink up!

Noshing, munching, nibbling – whatever you want to call it, here’s to a delicious second breakfast! Tag #TeaProudly and share your morning go-to.
